WHAT WE BELIEVE

God is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Three persons/one God (2 Corinthians 13:14). God has existed for all eternity. In His perfect love and will, He spoke everything into being and it was very good (Hebrews 11:3). God is perfect and holy love and demonstrates His love by sending Jesus to save us from our sin and to heal and restore our relationship with God.

He is the eternally begotten Son of God and the Son of Mary. Fully Divine. Fully Human. Even though all of creation was spoken through Him, He humbled Himself taking on flesh and becoming like us so that we could become more like Him (Philippians 2:5-11). Born of a virgin, Jesus lived a sinless life and showed us the way, the truth, and the life. He suffered and died on the cross and rose three days later. He ascended to the right hand of the Father and will come again to judge the living and the dead. Jesus is the only way of salvation and is the primary demonstration of the Father’s love (John 3:16).

Baptism + Communion: As a Wesleyan community of faith we hold to two sacraments (means of experiencing God's grace): baptism and holy communion.

Baptism: We offer baptism for all ages (infants through adulthood). Baptism is an outward sign of an inward grace that is not dependent on our understanding but is rooted in an accountable community of faith. For infants who are baptized, we encourage those same children to encounter the truths of the Christian faith in an in-depth confirmation process where they live into the truth of the faith and make a public profession of faith in Jesus by being baptized (or remembering their baptism). For those who place their faith in Jesus, we offer baptism as a powerful reminder of the example of our Lord who was Himself baptized and calls us to repent and believe in the Good News of His forgiving love and coming Kingdom.

Communion: We gather for communion the first Sunday of each month. The table is open to all who desire to follow Jesus. In this act of worship we remember the sacrificial love of Jesus who laid down His life for us. This is our central act of worship and the place where we are nourished to be the people of God.

Marriage: we believe marriage is a gift of God and binds a man and a woman together in a lifelong covenant of faithful love.
